Life is good, even when it has some exhausting twists and turns. Recently, my life is a prime example of this. But, I’m learning and growing despite the exhausting parts of it! I grew up in a very supportive environment where learning experiences were a very normal thing. My parents were successful in creating a financially stable household and I have benefited from that, but I’ve also made some foolish financial choices (and subsequently learned a lot from those mistakes). I am now married, working full-time in the geospatial/mapping community, and enjoying my unique life despite the handful of hurdles along the way. I have developed a strong interest in personal finance, frugality, being self sustaining, contributing more than I am consuming, trying to leave the world a little better off than when I entered it, as well as a handful of hobbies like remote control planes, biking, metal detecting, reading, blogging, etc. My goal is to do these things as I can, and share those experiences (and knowledge) so that it may impact others (like you!) to do the same. My hope is that you can learn from my mistakes and successes to significantly improve your life as well.
