So I recently purchased (2 months ago) a fancier quadcopter (what most people would call a drone) to compliment my other remote control toys. I also had the chance this morning to fly it while visiting with my family and was fortunate enough to have captured the attached image that I think is pretty awesome (hopefully some of you can appreciate it too!). The “drone” is a DJI Mavic Platinum and I have flown it for a cumulative 4 flights so far, so I am still learning about its extensive capabilities and am really enjoying it so far. The location is in Wisconsin looking east at Lake Michigan. More specifically, I am flying almost directly above the home my parents built here in the woods. Most of these trees stand well over 80 feet tall so the quadcopter is probably about 100-150′ high in the picture. It was a whopping 20 degrees out and there was some obnoxiously cold wind (I just might be ready for Spring). My point being that the quadcopter seriously impresses me with its ability to hold a hover even with significant winds trying to push it around. Also. it’s so much more comfortable to fly in 70 degree weather!
